2013 Realities Ride & Rally Guinness Book of World Records Attempt
Realities For Children Charities, a Larimer County Colorado non-profit serving children who have been abused or neglected and the organization behind the annual “Realities Ride & Rally,” has been approved by the Guinness Book of World Records to make a title attempt for the “World’s Largest Motorcycle Poker Run.”
The Realities Ride & Rally annually admits thousands of participants and draws crowds of over 15,000 people during the course of the two day weekend.
Craig Secher (President of Realities For Children and the creator of Realities Ride & Rally) says: “We are honored to be approved to attempt to set a new world record, however Guinness World Records are very detailed and strict in their records so the challenge is in accurately tracking every rider, at every stop and in getting every participant to stay the course and complete the entire run with us to be counted as part of shattering the previous world record.
“We are asking the entire motorcycle community to show up in force to help us not only set a new world record, but to show the entire world that in Northern Colorado we are serious about our commitment to providing for abused and at-risk children in need.”
No matter who you are, or what kind of motorcycle you ride your participation in this year’s Realities Ride will directly support abused and neglected children locally and may be part of making history in setting a New World Record.
Everyone interested in helping Realities For Children reach these goals is asked to not only register themselves but help spread the word to everyone they know who rides to register today for the 12th Annual Realities Ride & Rally.
Realities For Children Charities works year round to provide for children in need, however this is when the riding community comes together to give these children a voice that cannot be ignored.
Craig Secher says: “We’re excited about setting a new world record, but ultimately, this is for the kids.”
Over the last 12 years, Realities Ride & Rally has become a Memorial Day tradition for motorcycle enthusiasts, and music lovers in Colorado.
Festivities include: live music on two stages for two days, Old Town Budweiser Beer Gardens, Monster Energy Motorcycle Stunt Shows, Freakshow Tattoo’s “GRUDGEMATCH” Burnout Pits, ‘Circus Freak’ street performers, food and merchandise vendors, Battle In The Fort 5: Strongman Competition, Hollywood stuntman Gary Montana’s 6 story highfall stunt jump, a vintage bike show, a Hot Rod show… and the list goes on.
But the world record attempt will be a scenic poker run through Northern Colorado which offers participants the opportunity to win $1,500 CASH prize for the best hand, entered into a $3,500 Newstalgia custom paint job drawing and to be part of setting a new world record.
In 2012, over 2,800 motorcyclists joined The Ride and helped to raise over $100,000 for abused, neglected, and at-risk children in Larimer County. This year, the Realities Ride will take place on Memorial Day Weekend (May 25th and 26th).
