Ace Cafe & GlobeBusters Ride to China
For those of you who have an incurable wander lust toward “Iron Butt” long-range rides, the Ace Café London and motorcycle touring expedition firm GlobeBusters are organizing a 12,000-mile ride from London to China.
The trip will arrive in China in time for the official grand opening of the new Ace Cafe Beijing.
An international team of riders will leave London on the morning of Saturday, April 25, 2015 to arrive in the Chinese capital 80 days later. The route takes the ride through Istanbul (Turkey), Tehran (Iran), Samarkand (Uzbekistan) and Everest Base Camp (Tibet), finally arriving in Beijing on Monday, July 13.
“We’ll be taking some ‘proper’ English Tea with us as a gift for the Chinese, even though it’s a bit like taking coals to Newcastle” says expedition leader Kevin Sanders. “Along the way we’ll be brewing up and spreading the word about the Ace in some of the most remote places in Asia,” he added.
There is still time to join the Ace to Ace expedition team, although places are limited and, due to Chinese visa requirements, bookings will close soon.
There will be a special send-off party event at Ace Cafe London on the evening of Friday, April 24th, 2015 details of which will be announced nearer the time.
